Job Duties
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service at the checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the point-of-sale system
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sales items, and pricing discrepancies
- Follow established procedures for handling postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, seasonal and special ads
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures while identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
