Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of cashier experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of cashier experience
  • Proficient with point of sale systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues effectively

Job Duties

  • Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe checkout service
  • Process purchase and return transactions accurately
  • Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area to ensure smooth operation
  • Position and support cashiers by expediting price checks and approving point of sale transactions
  • Approve markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • Provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • Assist in supervising, coaching, and training other front end associates
  • Participate in training new cashiers and use all available tools for coaching and development
