Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Ability to provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various forms of payment such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Comply with food safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain a safe and clean environment and notify management of unsafe conditions or repair needs
- Provide an inviting atmosphere where customers feel welcome and appreciated
- Manage conflict professionally and cooperate in high-paced environments
