Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year cashier experience
  • basic math and computer skills
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • proven ability to resolve customer issues effectively
  • ability to train and coach team members
  • familiarity with point of sale systems
  • attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
  • process checkout and/or return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
  • follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in supervision, coaching, and training of other front end associates
  • participate in training of new cashiers and utilize tools to coach and develop cashiers
