Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • No prior experience necessary
  • Must successfully complete Smashburger training program
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
  • Ability to work variable hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must adhere to Smashburger uniform policy
  • Ability to follow all local, state, and federal employment regulations
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide valid work documents
  • Must report to work on time consistently

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful completion of Smashburger training program
  • Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but not required
  • Ability to follow safety and security standards
  • Demonstrated integrity and reliability

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile and welcome new and repeat visitors
  • Promote a fun and positive work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with cooks and managers
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items and make meal suggestions
  • Verify guest orders for accuracy and manage to-go orders
  • Process POS transactions and follow cash handling procedures
  • Visit tables after food delivery to ensure guest satisfaction and needs
  • Adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area, and restrooms
  • Follow personal and food safety and security standards
  • Upsell food items through thoughtful suggestions
  • Follow order accuracy procedures to minimize waste and enhance guest experience
  • Uphold company cash policies to prevent losses due to theft or shortages
