Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cashier experience or proficiency in similar tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, and bend
- Ability to lift and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attendance and punctuality record
- Commitment to company core values
- Ability to use POS system and handle money accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cashier experience or proficiency in similar tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to operate a cash register (POS system), computer, and telephone
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Bilingual verbal and written Spanish skills highly desired
Job Duties
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Precisely and accurately handle money, checks, and other types of payment including processing refunds and issuing store merchandise credit
- Perform credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, personal check acceptance, and vendor check-in transactions according to company policies
- Verify the accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts and report discrepancies
- Actively participate in sales promotions and practice suggestive selling to build customer relations
- Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and nametag at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including dusting merchandise near the register and sanitizing equipment
