Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • operate Point of Sale (POS) system handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted items, and checkout procedures
  • report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay updated with current and future ads
  • comply with food safety regulations
  • reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • inspect equipment and notify management of any repairs needed
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • maintain honesty and integrity in customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
