Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- operate Point of Sale (POS) system handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted items, and checkout procedures
- report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated with current and future ads
- comply with food safety regulations
- reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- inspect equipment and notify management of any repairs needed
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- maintain honesty and integrity in customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
