Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire
  • must be willing to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
  • must be able to lift up to 60 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greets customers with a positive and friendly attitude
  • enters orders into POS system, uses suggestive selling of food products to customers, receives payment (cash and credit card), makes change and maintains cash drawer
  • presents orders to guests and ensures accuracy of order
  • assists with ordering filling as needed
  • reads monitor to identify products that need to be prepared
  • notifies cook of special orders, shortages and needs
  • other general duties include minor food preparation, stocking of supplies, cleaning of dining room tables and restrooms, sweeping, mopping, discarding of trash and filling ice bins
  • sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment as needed
  • communicates with customers, team members and managers in a positive and professional manner
  • maintains cleanliness on the service counter and order presentation counter
  • maintains cleanliness, organization, and rotation of the display cooler
  • observes health and sanitation guidelines and follows established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health & safety protocols
  • maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and takes ownership of area
  • looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner
  • other duties as assigned
  • must be willing to work variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays
