Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of cashier experience for head cashier position
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of cashier experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in supervising or coaching is a plus
- Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Job Duties
- Provide fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service at checkout
- Process checkout and return transactions
- Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- Seek product and project knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- Position cashiers and expedite price checks
- Approve point-of-sale transactions and markdowns for various registers
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in training, coaching, and supervising front-end associates
