Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One or more years of cashier experience preferred
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods
Basic proficiency with computers and cash handling
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to follow safety guidelines and procedures

Ability to handle cash and point of sale transactions accurately
Ability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
Process checkout and/or return transactions
Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
Proactively seek product/project knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities
Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
Position and support cashiers by expediting price checks and approving point of sale transactions (Head Cashier role)
Provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in training and coaching other front end associates (Head Cashier role)
