- Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred

Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policies
- Monitor and control cash shortages and overages honestly and effectively
- Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow company procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay updated with current, future, seasonal, and special advertisements
- Comply with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report accordingly
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
- Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
