Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and complex loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling and restricted sales items
  • Report pricing discrepancies to appropriate personnel
  • Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Maintain awareness of current and upcoming sales and promotions
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Observe and report unsafe conditions, accidents, or other safety concerns
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering product-related questions
  • Abide by all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
  • Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
