Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
previous cashier experience preferred
ability to stand for extended periods
basic proficiency in math
strong attention to detail
excellent communication skills
ability to handle cash and operate register equipment
willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

at least one year of cashier experience preferred for head cashier role
strong customer service skills
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
good communication and interpersonal skills
familiarity with point of sale systems
basic math skills
ability to train and mentor others for head cashier role

Job Duties

process checkout transactions accurately and efficiently
handle product return transactions following company policies
monitor and maintain the self-checkout area to ensure smooth operation
proactively seek product and project knowledge to assist customers
follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage
position cashiers and support price checks
approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
provide first level escalation for customer issues
assist in supervising, coaching, and training front-end associates
participate in training new cashiers and utilize coaching tools to develop team
