- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable nonconfrontational manner
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Job Duties
- Greet engage and assist customers actively as a cashier and checker
- Process customer transactions quickly accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various payment tenders including cash checks credit debit SNAP EBT coupons and loyalty offers per company policy
- Monitor and adhere to company cash handling limits to prevent shortages and overages
- Follow guidelines on sales of restricted items such as alcohol tobacco and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies and equipment issues promptly to appropriate personnel
- Comply with food safety regulations and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
