- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred

Job Duties
- Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases
- Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons accurately
- Weigh and carefully bag customer purchases
- Understand and efficiently operate check-stand equipment including register, scanner, scale, and belts
- Perform front-end duties such as merchandising newspapers, periodicals, and candy
- Ensure proper use of product identification and PLUs and report pricing or signage errors
- Maintain knowledge of current store programs and product locations
- Communicate company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers
- Comply with company policies regarding security, cash handling, product handling, and the sale of alcohol and tobacco
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked department adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with stocking items as needed
- Follow all PPE and safety guidelines
- Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations
- Follow guest experience guidelines
- Perform additional assigned tasks and assist in other departments based on customer experience needs
