Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs
  • successful completion of Smashburger training program
  • punctuality and availability to work variable hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • adherence to Smashburger uniform policy
  • ability to follow company and regulatory guidelines
  • must be authorized to work in the U.S. and participate in E-Verify

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile and welcome new and repeat guests
  • promote a fun and positive work environment
  • work effectively with others on the line and communicate with cooks and managers
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items to make meal suggestions and answer questions
  • verify guest orders for accuracy, manage to-go orders, and process POS transactions following cash handling procedures
  • visit tables after food delivery to ensure guests have everything they need and their experience is perfect
  • adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest survey participation
  • follow personal and food safety and security standards to maintain a safe work environment
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining areas, and restrooms
  • uphold company cash policies to minimize losses
  • upsell food items through thoughtful suggestions
  • follow company order accuracy procedures to ensure guest satisfaction and reduce waste
