Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • state food handler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
  • preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in a cash handling capacity
  • restaurant or retail environment preferred
  • possess strong guest service and communication skills
  • organized and detail oriented
  • proficient in use of POS - Point of Sale systems
  • must be able to read, write and speak English
  • must be proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Job Duties

  • Makes coffee/tea and other drinks as required - serves as barista for specialty drinks
  • packages sweets and cakes
  • sets up and maintains abundant displays/changes out displays based on time of day
  • responsible for condiment station set up
  • responsible for FOH set up (table tents/stanchion signs, etc.)
  • responsible for cashier station including operation and cash flow
  • verify initial cash
  • ensures accurate financial transactions
  • answer phone
  • can describe food offerings/allergens/nutrition
  • engages in upselling and suggestive selling of products
  • frost cakes
  • responsible for maintaining a stocked FOH
  • cut bars/brownies
  • empty trash when required
  • mop and sweep as required
  • communicates effectively with guests
  • alerts manager to any guest issues for immediate resolution
  • smile, friendly, takes appropriate action to guest requests
  • supports and promotes company initiatives (sales goals, guest service goals, food safety goals)
  • follows safety and sanitation requirements
