Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
state food handler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in a cash handling capacity
restaurant or retail environment preferred
possess strong guest service and communication skills
organized and detail oriented
proficient in use of POS - Point of Sale systems
must be able to read, write and speak English
must be proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Job Duties

Makes coffee/tea and other drinks as required - serves as barista for specialty drinks
packages sweets and cakes
sets up and maintains abundant displays/changes out displays based on time of day
responsible for condiment station set up
responsible for FOH set up (table tents/stanchion signs, etc.)
responsible for cashier station including operation and cash flow
verify initial cash
ensures accurate financial transactions
answer phone
can describe food offerings/allergens/nutrition
engages in upselling and suggestive selling of products
frost cakes
responsible for maintaining a stocked FOH
cut bars/brownies
empty trash when required
mop and sweep as required
communicates effectively with guests
alerts manager to any guest issues for immediate resolution
smile, friendly, takes appropriate action to guest requests
supports and promotes company initiatives (sales goals, guest service goals, food safety goals)
follows safety and sanitation requirements
