Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs
  • punctuality and availability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • adherence to Smashburger uniform policy
  • successful completion of Smashburger training program
  • ability to follow company and legal employment guidelines
  • must produce authorized US work documents
  • participate in E-Verify program

Job Qualifications

  • No previous cashier experience required
  • ability to communicate clearly and work well in fast-paced environments
  • willingness to learn and complete Smashburger training program
  • capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness
  • knowledge of basic math for cash handling preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile
  • promote a fun and positive work environment
  • work effectively with team members and communicate with cooks and managers
  • be knowledgeable of menu items and make meal suggestions
  • verify guest orders for accuracy and manage to-go orders
  • process point-of-sale transactions and follow cash handling procedures
  • visit tables after food delivery to ensure guest satisfaction
  • adhere to active marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
  • follow personal and food safety and security standards
  • maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining areas, and restrooms
  • listen and communicate effectively with others
  • uphold integrity and company cash policies
  • upsell food items
  • ensure order accuracy and minimize waste
