Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or related field preferred
- Ability to handle multiple payment methods including cash, credit cards and checks
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle repairs and service procedures preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or automotive service environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive services and repairs is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately
- Proficiency in scheduling and record-keeping
- Ability to multitask and manage customer inquiries professionally
Job Duties
- Accept payments by cash, credit cards and checks from customers for repairs, parts, and other services
- Refund customer payments for unused parts or other reasons in accordance with supervisor direction or company policy
- Record receipts, delivery of change and other transactions throughout the shift
- Reconcile payments received with invoiced amounts and prices of parts
- Schedule and service appointments
- Explain service technicians' recommendations, repairs and other actions to customers
- Direct customer calls to the desired or appropriate department
- Answer customer questions about vehicle problems, the status of repairs, and hours of operation
