Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Three months experience in an office setting or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience which evidence basic knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Preferred prior experience handling cash payments and ability to deal with problems involving several variables in familiar context
- General knowledge of office equipment and applications such as copier, computer, calculator, Excel

Job Duties
- Receives payments in person and by mail including payments for real estate and manufactured home taxes, county departmental pay-ins, tax lien fees and monthly escrow payments, issues receipts for payments, records payments and posts to accounts
- Balances payments received including cash, checks, wires and credit cards, prepares daily reports, records fees collected from other departments, prepares money for deposit with bank
- Updates computer information such as departmental fund accounts, balances and deposits checks through Electronic Deposit Management System
- Clears checks and balances with banks, processes bank corrections, bad checks that affect final balance
- Receives and verifies incoming documents
