Job Requirements

  • High school degree, GED or equivalent
  • excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
  • exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours

Job Qualifications

  • Proven minimum of 1 year of experience as a bartender in a similar upscale hospitality setting
  • willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • comprehensive knowledge of craft cocktails, liquors, beers, wines, and tobacco products
  • excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
  • computer literacy
  • positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • customer services oriented
  • ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
  • interact with customers, taking orders, and serving snacks and drinks
  • display a deep knowledge of our menu, including liquors, beers, wines
  • assess bar customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • prepare and maintain ingredients by following recipes
  • plan and present bar menu
  • coordinate daily supply inventory for bar and submit orders to supervisor
  • assist with receipt of deliveries
  • check customers' identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolve complaints
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
  • comply with all food and beverage regulations
