Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- two years of server experience in a face-paced, high volume restaurant or bar setting
- ability to effectively interact and communicate with diverse guests
- capable of reading, writing, and comprehending instructions and correspondence
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rate, ratio and percent
- ability to apply common sense in understanding directions and solving problems
- proficiency or quick learning ability with the Micro System
- possession of a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor's Permit or willingness to attend class and pass test with at least 90%
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- take beverage orders from guests and enter orders in order/sale system
- deliver beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
- perform side work at start and end of each shift as required
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor and observe dining experience ensuring guest satisfaction
- prepare bar bill, present check, accept payment, and process transactions
- assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed
- thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation under manager supervision
