Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to perform medium physical work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Require clarity of vision including color vision and depth perception
- Capable of physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner in any store area
- Learn and use customers' names whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading/unloading heavy objects, noting and passing along suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
- Answer telephone promptly and take customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work as a team with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
- Handle food safely and maintain clean, neat work area
- Review food status and appearance for freshness
- Prepare and replenish product as necessary
- Manage product inventory including checking in, putting away, and reviewing invoices
- Run department registers and process payments
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Adhere to company policies, hygiene, and dress guidelines
- Report to work on schedule and on time
