Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • computer and data entry experience
  • valid driver's license
  • reliable means of communication and transportation
  • able to sit, stand, lift, bend and climb stairs during shift
  • able to lift, carry and hold up to 70 lbs
  • must be able to obtain and maintain Local Airport Badge, Driver's Icon and Customs Border Patrol Seal
  • must provide necessary documentation authorizing work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • computer and data entry experience
  • valid driver's license
  • able to lift, carry or hold up to 70 lbs
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • customer service experience preferred
  • cargo experience in import, export and tracking preferred
  • warehouse and forklift experience preferred
  • ability to obtain and maintain airport badge and customs seals
  • familiar with FAA and airline regulations

Job Duties

  • Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS)
  • treat all information as confidential
  • process airway bills
  • perform inventory
  • inform all authorized parties concerning movement of airline's aircraft and cargo
  • compile, dispatch and receive all messages pertaining to cargo handling operations
  • prepare and process cargo documents, air and waybills
  • answer airline's telephone and take appropriate action when necessary
  • obtain customers clearance of inbound cargo and prepare all necessary procedures
  • track all cargo manifests for cargo transfers
  • conduct physical inspections and screenings of packages
  • prepare the Unit Load Device Receipt for transfers and distribute copies
  • advise customers of arriving shipments via email, telephone or written communication
  • complete airway bill data entry and update computer records
  • maintain familiarity with FAA and airline guidelines and regulations
  • keep supervisors informed of needs and problems, maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs
  • project positive image and respond courteously to client, staff and public
  • utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records
  • wear proper uniform attire as per company standards
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • use company and client equipment, supplies and resources cost-effectively
  • perform other duties as required
  • comply with safety requirements including trained equipment use, reporting unsafe conditions, wearing PPE and attending safety training
