Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- must have current driver’s license with no violations over past 5 years
- forklift certification preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently
- must pass driver’s test with Department of Airports and obtain driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area
- must pass FBI background check and obtain customs seal
- must be able to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis
- must pass pre-employment medical and drug test
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- valid driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
- forklift certification preferred
- minimum age of 18 years
- availability and flexibility for variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- passing a driver’s test for the Airport Operational Area (AOA) license
- ability to pass FBI background check and obtain a customs seal
- ability to lift at least 75 pounds continuously
- successful completion of pre-employment medical and drug test
Job Duties
- Read air waybills, bills of lading, and freight manifests to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- convey freight from receiving areas to designated storage or other areas using forklifts or transporters
- sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination
- sort and store dangerous goods in proper areas
- fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items and distribute them to other locations
- open bales, crates, and containers for breakdown and record counts of items received or distributed
- weigh and count items to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybills
- perform cargo build-up and breakdown for freight to or from pallets or unit load devices (ULDs)
- ensure work areas are clean and hazard-free
- practice company safety policies including wearing PPE and safe operation of equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
