Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer and typing experience
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a reliable telephone and transportation
- Ability to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or hold at least 70 lbs
- Physical exam may be required
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Ability to verbally direct in English
- Must meet necessary requirements for security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US

- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
Job Duties
- Act as handling agent for airlines
- Inform all authorized parties concerning movements of airline's aircraft and cargo
- Compile, dispatch and receive all messages pertaining to the cargo handling operation
- Prepare/process cargo documents, air bills, and air way bills
- Answer airline's telephone and take appropriate action when necessary and/or required
- Obtain customer's clearance of inbound cargo and prepare/process all necessary documents to government agencies relating to international shipments
- Prepare transfer manifest(s) for all transfer cargo
- Conduct physical inspections and screening of packages/cargo per client protocols
- Prepare the unit load device receipt for all transfers of unit load devices and distribute copies according to airline's instructions
- Service customers at counter by ensuring complete and accurate shipping documents and processing all monies
- Advise customers of shipment arrivals and related charges
- Complete airway bills and data entry updating computer records
- Ensure compliance with FAA/airline/company regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and report maintenance needs
- Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- Attend required meetings and maintain records, reports and files
- Adhere to company policies and participate in achieving company objectives
- Utilize equipment and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner
- Perform other duties as requested
