Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion and passing of drug test excluding marijuana
- Tuberculosis test clearance
- Physical evaluation and background check as required
- Compliance with COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination mandates if applicable
- Willingness to participate in all required trainings and certification renewals
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Adherence to safety and infection control protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certificate and First Aid certification as required by state or provincial regulations
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Ability to make decisions and act in the best interest of residents
- Desire to serve and care for seniors
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Competent organizational and time management capabilities
Job Duties
- Review, read, notate, and initial daily log to document pertinent information about residents
- Participate in the development and monthly updates of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
- Maintain responsibility for a designated group of residents during the shift and conduct physical checks
- Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ symptoms and conditions
- Attend daily cross over meetings with lead care manager
- Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells and take appropriate action
- Assist with dining service, setup, and maintain pleasant dining experiences according to ISP and diet charts
