Job Requirements

  • Commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must meet certification requirements depending on care setting
  • Demonstrated alignment with PHS Christian ministry values
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Caregiving experience preferred but applicants without experience will be considered
  • Nursing Assistant Certification required for long-term care positions
  • No certification required for assisted living positions
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS mission and operating philosophies
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Perform ADL's as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices
  • Monitor changes in Resident's condition
  • Transfer and assist residents with mobility using various methods such as gait belt and mechanical lifts
  • Ensure residents are cared for with dignity
  • Communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • Support the community’s mission and values in daily work
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
