Job Requirements
- Commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must meet certification requirements depending on care setting
- Demonstrated alignment with PHS Christian ministry values
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Caregiving experience preferred but applicants without experience will be considered
- Nursing Assistant Certification required for long-term care positions
- No certification required for assisted living positions
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS mission and operating philosophies
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Perform ADL's as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices
- Monitor changes in Resident's condition
- Transfer and assist residents with mobility using various methods such as gait belt and mechanical lifts
- Ensure residents are cared for with dignity
- Communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Support the community’s mission and values in daily work
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents
