Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Working knowledge of computers
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
- Completion of all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes
- Maintain valid driver’s license and insurance
- Approved by management to drive for the company
- Cooperation with inspections, inquiries, or investigations by Department of Human Services
- Submission to drug testing prior to employment and randomly thereafter
- Criminal background check and clearance by Department of Human Services
- Clearance from Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Child Abuse Registry Information
- Ability to perform heavy work requiring lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Working knowledge of computers
- Completion of all state-required training and certifications within mandated timeframes
- Ability to complete background checks and clear central registries
- Demonstrated proficiency in required training areas
- Ability to perform heavy work
- Minimum age of 18 years
Job Duties
- Provide direct support according to individual service or program plans
- Assist with socialization and behavioral development
- Support personal care, housekeeping, and recreational activities
- Facilitate transportation, community integration, and shopping
- Accurately document progress and maintain confidentiality
- Administer or assist with medication and health care
- Report incidents of abuse, neglect, or medical emergencies
- Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and case managers
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and comply with safety policies
- Perform housekeeping, maintenance, and minor repairs
- Transport individuals safely adhering to local laws and safety equipment requirements
