Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CNA certification for long term care roles
  • willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • strong communication skills in English
  • demonstrated alignment with PHS values
  • physical ability to assist residents with mobility
  • commitment to resident dignity and safety
  • ability to follow care plans and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Caregiving experience preferred but not required
  • Nursing Assistant Certification required for long term care
  • no certification needed for assisted living
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies
  • commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
  • ability to work well within a team
  • basic understanding of resident care needs

Job Duties

  • Perform ADL’s as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices
  • monitor changes in Resident’s condition
  • transfer and assist residents with mobility using various methods such as gait belts and mechanical lifts
  • ensure residents are cared for with dignity
  • maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents
  • communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • document care activities accurately
