Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification for long term care roles
- willingness to work weekends and holidays
- strong communication skills in English
- demonstrated alignment with PHS values
- physical ability to assist residents with mobility
- commitment to resident dignity and safety
- ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Nursing Assistant Certification required for long term care
- no certification needed for assisted living
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies
- commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
- ability to work well within a team
- basic understanding of resident care needs
Job Duties
- Perform ADL’s as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices
- monitor changes in Resident’s condition
- transfer and assist residents with mobility using various methods such as gait belts and mechanical lifts
- ensure residents are cared for with dignity
- maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents
- communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- document care activities accurately
