Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of experience in human services preferred
- must be 18 years of age
- valid driver’s license in good standing
- car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
- completion of all state-required training and certifications within mandated timeframes
- ability to perform heavy work
- comply with drug testing policies where applicable
- submit to criminal background checks and clear Department of Human Services disqualification screens
- cooperate with regulatory inspections and inquiries
- maintain driving privileges and meet insurance requirements where applicable
- maintain confidentiality and professional conduct

Job Duties
- Provide direct support or assistance in accordance with individual service or program plans
- assist with socialization and behavioral development
- support personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community orientation, shopping, financial management, citizenship, and other daily living activities
- accurately document progress and activity
- maintain confidentiality
- complete billing documentation as applicable
- assist with money management and safeguard individuals' funds and property
- maintain healthy and professional relationships with individuals, families, guardians, and case managers
- report instances of alleged abuse or neglect and medical or behavioral incidents in compliance with policies
- maintain and respect individuals' rights and assist in exercising those rights
- accompany individuals to medical appointments and communicate with healthcare providers
- administer and document medication delivery when assigned
- monitor health conditions and follow healthcare directives
- handle medical supplies and equipment as required
- prepare or support food preparation according to dietary plans
- attend orientation and ongoing training sessions
- work scheduled hours and notify supervisors promptly of any absences
- collaborate with team members respectfully
- comply with workplace safety policies and report hazards
- transport individuals safely adhering to laws and safety equipment protocols
- perform housekeeping and environmental maintenance tasks
- report accidents and safety concerns
- participate in safety drills and emergency procedures
- perform other related duties as assigned
