Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of documented caregiver or home care assistance experience
- high school diploma or GED
- must be registered with the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry
- must be able to work weekends
- certified in CPR (AHA and ARC only)
- physical and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- licensed driver with insurance and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
- ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- pass criminal background check and drug screen
Job Qualifications
- One year of documented professional experience as a caregiver or current CNA/HHA certification
- registered with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
- certified in CPR (AHA and ARC only)
- high school diploma or GED
- knowledge of mobility assistance techniques
- ability to document and report client status changes
Job Duties
- Provide various personal care services to meet client or patient needs
- assist with daily tasks including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, and light housekeeping
- provide transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
- assist clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care
- document observed changes and report them to the Director of Nursing
- support clients with activities of daily living to enhance their comfort and independence
