Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- minimum five years cooking or baking experience
- meet credentialing requirements for Indian River State College/Florida Department of Education
- possess culinary or Servsafe certifications
- proficient computer skills including in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

- associate degree or higher in a related field preferred
- minimum five years cooking or baking experience
- meet credentialing requirements for Indian River State College/Florida Department of Education
- possess culinary or Servsafe certifications
- demonstrate ability in food preparation and knowledge of safety and cooking techniques and equipment
- proficient computer skills including in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Design and deliver engaging classroom lectures and develop syllabi
- prepare and demonstrate effective food preparation techniques and culinary procedures
- teach proper methods of food handling, preparation, and presentation in both classroom and lab settings
- actively recruit and advise students to support successful enrollment
- maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, and submit grades promptly
- ensure a safe, organized, and productive learning environment at all times
- promptly report equipment malfunctions or damage to the appropriate personnel
- provide ongoing guidance and support to students to foster a positive and enriching educational experience
- oversee inventory and manage supplies, equipment, and materials for both the culinary classroom and lab
- monitor and maintain lab tools and equipment to prevent loss and damage
- completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
