Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the 6 years preceding position
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time and at least 500 hours of turbine PIC time in a Part 135 environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating the Cessna Caravan C208, with both land and seaplane experience required
  • Free of any documented flight violations, mishaps or incidents in the past 10 years
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate (1st class)
  • FAA Certificate (Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating)
  • ATP preferred
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Must provide two forms of Federal Identification
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment
  • This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine suitability for the position

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the last 6 years
  • Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours and at least 500 turbine PIC hours in a Part 135 environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating Cessna Caravan C208 including land and seaplane
  • Free of documented flight violations, mishaps or incidents in past 10 years
  • Current FAA 1st class medical certificate
  • FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument Rating
  • ATP certificate preferred
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Successful completion of comprehensive background check
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Experience as a check airman preferred
  • Significant seaplane flight instructor time considered

Job Duties

  • Conduct indoctrination training for new pilots and refresher training for experienced pilots
  • Review reports on pilot performance and forward reports to Federal Aviation Administration
  • Discuss operational and personal problems with subordinates to improve morale and efficiency
  • Study technical manuals and government regulations to ensure training manuals comply with legal requirements and are updated
  • Represent company during contract negotiations with pilots' union
  • Accompany flights to observe pilot performance
  • Conduct training classes for emergency procedures and survival equipment use
  • Direct preparation of flight-crew schedules and personnel assignments
  • Interview and hire flight personnel as needed
  • Pilot airplane on scheduled flights when required
  • Supervise all training activities for flight crew personnel
  • Advise Director of Operations on flight crew training
  • Assist Director of Operations in formulating and coordinating operations policies
  • Ensure aircraft are properly equipped for operations
  • Disseminate operational information to crewmembers
  • Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command
  • Establish and lead operational best practices and safety review panel
  • Schedule flight crewmembers including Pilot-in-Command duties
  • Maintain proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence
  • Submit reports regarding flight personnel to Director of Operations
  • Keep aircraft copies of Operations Manual current
  • Ensure flight crew are certified and supervised per Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Assist Director of Operations in exercising operational control of flight activities
  • Delegate functions as needed while retaining ultimate responsibility
  • Apply for and receive Parts A-E of Operations Specifications
  • Serve as alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator
  • Ensure Aircraft Flight Manuals are current
  • Conduct audits of pilot training and duty records
  • Monitor and review pilot training programs for effectiveness
  • Review International Training program and policies for FAA/ICAO compliance
  • Perform other assignments as directed by Director of Operations
  • Meet requirements of 14 CFR 119.69(d) and 119.71
