Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience as pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within past 6 years
- Minimum 2,500 hours total flight time including at least 500 turbine PIC hours in Part 135
- Minimum 3 years experience operating Cessna Caravan C208 with land and seaplane experience
- Clean flight record free of violations and incidents in past 10 years
- Current FAA 1st class Medical Certificate
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating
- Must be authorized to work in United States
- Must provide two forms of Federal Identification
- Must successfully complete comprehensive background check
- Must be local to Miami, Florida
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within past 6 years
- Minimum 2,500 hours total flight time including at least 500 turbine PIC hours in Part 135
- Minimum 3 years experience with Cessna Caravan C208 including land and seaplane
- Clean flight record with no violations, incidents, or mishaps in past 10 years
- Current FAA 1st class Medical Certificate
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, ATP preferred
- Authorized to work legally in United States
- Successful completion of comprehensive background check
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field preferred
- Check airman or significant Seaplane Flight Instructor experience preferred
Job Duties
- Conducts indoctrination training for new pilots
- reviews reports on pilot performance and forwards reports to Federal Aviation Administration
- discusses operational and personal problems with subordinates to improve morale and efficiency
- studies technical manuals and government regulations to ensure compliance and training manual accuracy
- represents company during contract negotiations
- accompanies flights to observe pilot performance
- conducts training classes on emergency procedures
- directs preparation of flight-crew schedules and personnel assignments
- interviews and hires flight personnel
- pilots airplane on scheduled flights as needed
- conducts and supervises all training activities for flight crew personnel
- advises Director of Operations on training
- assists in formulating operations policies
- ensures all aircraft are properly equipped
- disseminates operational information to crewmembers
- maintains pilot proficiency
- leads operational best practices and safety review panel
- schedules crew including Pilot-in-Command duties
- maintains records and reports on flight operations
- submits reports to Director of Operations
- keeps Operations Manual current
- ensures flight crew certification and supervision per FAA
- exercises operational control as required
- delegates functions but retains ultimate responsibility
- applies for and receives Operations Specifications
- serves as alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator
- maintains Aircraft Flight Manuals
- conducts audits of pilot training and duty records
- monitors pilot training effectiveness
- reviews international training for FAA/ICAO compliance
- performs other assignments by Director of Operations
- meets regulatory requirements of 14 CFR 119.69(d) and 119.71
