Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the 6 years preceding position
  • A minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time and at least 500 hours of turbine PIC time in a Part 135 environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating the Cessna Caravan C208, with both land and seaplane experience required
  • Free of any documented flight violations, mishaps or incidents in the past 10 years
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate (1st class)
  • FAA Certificate (Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating), ATP preferred
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment including verification of previous employment, education, and criminal history
  • Must be local to Miami, Florida
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the last 6 years

  • Minimum of 3 years experience operating the Cessna Caravan C208 on both land and seaplane
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate (1st class)
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, ATP preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites including Outlook, Teams, and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with accuracy and efficiency
  • Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to train and mentor pilots
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Must be local to Miami, Florida
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States

Job Duties

  • Conduct indoctrination training for new pilots and refresher training for experienced pilots
  • Review pilot performance reports and forward reports to the Federal Aviation Administration
  • Discuss operational and personal problems with subordinates to improve morale and efficiency
  • Study technical manuals and government regulations to ensure company training manuals are legally compliant and adapted
  • Represent company during contract negotiations with pilots' union and accompany flights to observe pilot performance
  • Conduct training classes for flight personnel on emergency procedures and survival equipment
  • Direct preparation of flight-crew schedules and assign personnel
  • Interview and hire flight personnel as needed
  • Pilot aircraft on scheduled flights when required
  • Conduct or supervise all training activities of flight crew personnel
  • Advise Director of Operations on flight crew training
  • Assist Director of Operations in formulating and coordinating operations policies and training
  • Ensure aircraft are properly equipped for operations
  • Disseminate operational information to crew
  • Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command
  • Establish and lead operational best practices and safety review panel
  • Schedule flight crewmembers and assign Pilot-in-Command duties
  • Maintain proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, and reports
  • Submit reports regarding flight personnel to Director of Operations
  • Maintain current Operations Manual copies
  • Ensure all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised per Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Assist Director of Operations in exercising operational control of flight activities
  • Delegate functions while retaining responsibility
  • Apply for and manage Operations Specifications
  • Act as alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator
  • Maintain Aircraft Flight Manuals
  • Conduct audits of pilot training and duty records
  • Monitor and review pilot training programs
  • Conduct periodic reviews of international training and compliance
  • Fulfill other assignments by Director of Operations
  • Meet FAA regulatory requirements under 14 CFR 119.69(d) and 119.71
