Job Requirements
- minimum of 3 years previous experience as a pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the 6 years preceding position
- minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time and at least 500 hours of turbine PIC time in a Part 135 environment
- minimum of 3 years of experience operating the Cessna Caravan C208 with both land and seaplane experience
- free of any documented flight violations, mishaps or incidents in the past 10 years
- current FAA Medical Certificate (1st class)
- FAA Certificate (Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating), ATP preferred
- must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification
- candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment that includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and other relevant information
- must be local to Miami, Florida (Home Base: TMB).
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years experience as pilot-in-command in Part 135 operations within the last 6 years
- minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time and at least 500 hours of turbine PIC time in a Part 135 environment
- minimum of 3 years experience operating the Cessna Caravan C208 with land and seaplane experience
- free of documented flight violations, mishaps, or incidents in the past 10 years

- successful completion of comprehensive background check
- bachelor's degree in aviation or equivalent industry experience preferred
- experience as a check airman preferred or significant Seaplane Flight Instructor time

Job Duties
- conducts indoctrination training for new pilots and refresher training for experienced pilots
- reviews reports on pilot performance and forwards reports to Federal Aviation Administration
- discusses operational and personal problems with subordinates to improve morale and efficiency
- studies technical manuals of airplane and equipment manufacturers and government regulations affecting flight operations to ensure company training manuals adhere to legal requirements and aircraft type
- represents company in advisory capacity during contract negotiations with pilots' union
- accompanies flights to observe performance of pilots
- conducts training classes for flight personnel covering emergency procedures and survival equipment
- directs preparation of flight-crew schedules and assignment of personnel
- may interview and hire flight personnel
- may pilot airplane on scheduled flights
- conducts or supervises all training activities of flight crew personnel
- advises the Director of Operations regarding training of flight crew personnel
- assists the Director of Operations in formulating and coordinating operations policies and training
- ensures that aircraft are properly equipped for operations
- disseminates information to crewmembers on routes, airports, NOTAMS, NAVAIDS, company policies, and regulations
- maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command
- establishes and leads operational best practices and safety review panel
- schedules flight crewmembers including assigning Pilot-in-Command duties
- prepares and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence
- submits reports regarding flight personnel to Director of Operations
- keeps aircraft copies of Operations Manual current
- ensures all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to FAA regulations
- assists Director of Operations in exercising operational control of flight activities
- may delegate functions but retains responsibilities
- has authority to apply for and receive Operations Specifications parts
- acts as alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator
- ensures Aircraft Flight Manuals are maintained current
- conducts audits of pilot training and duty records
- monitors and reviews pilot training effectiveness
- conducts periodical reviews of international training programs for FAA/ICAO compliance
- performs other assignments as directed
- meets requirements of 14 CFR 119.69(d) and 119.71.
