Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, communications, marketing, public relations, hospitality management, or related field and three years of event coordination experience
  • Or Associate's degree in comparable fields and five years of relevant experience
  • Valid California Class C Driver License
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally for events
  • Proof of automobile liability insurance
  • No visa sponsorship available
  • Must be able to pass background checks and meet employment eligibility criteria

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, communications, marketing, public relations, hospitality management, or related field
  • Three years of experience coordinating, planning, or managing events, community outreach programs, or public relations activities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in event planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate County events from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure successful event execution
  • Manage event logistics including venue selection, equipment, staffing, and permits
  • Monitor event budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources
  • Develop promotional materials and coordinate marketing efforts for events
  • Conduct outreach to community partners and stakeholders to enhance event participation
  • Evaluate event outcomes and prepare reports to inform future planning
