Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified sommelier through organizations such as CMS or WSET
- Previous sommelier experience in a luxury restaurant or upscale setting
- Extensive knowledge of wines including varietals, vintages, regions, and service best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with culinary team
- Passion for wine and guest experience
- Polished appearance and adherence to dress code
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and somewhat stressful environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Develop and maintain an exceptional wine list with the assistance of the Director of Wine & Spirits
- Source and select wines from global regions considering varietals, vintages, and flavor profiles
- Interact with guests to assist in wine selection and provide in-depth wine descriptions
- Conduct wine seminars, tastings, and educational sessions for guests and staff
- Provide training and resources to elevate staff wine knowledge
- Collaborate with the culinary team on wine and food pairing menus for special events
- Manage wine cellar organization, inventory control, and maintain purchase records
- Plan and execute wine-focused events to engage guests
- Maintain relationships with wine distributors and suppliers
- Inspect wines regularly for quality and condition
