Job Requirements
- U.S. citizen, national or owe allegiance to the U.S.
- Must serve a one-year trial period evaluating fitness and performance
- Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Subject to background and security investigation

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct food or retail management experience
- Prior experience with inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls, and profit and loss management
- Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, and staff development
- Ability to assess business needs and problem-solve
- Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Experience with point-of-sale systems
- ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Associate degree preferred but not required in Business, Hospitality, or Management
Job Duties
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals
- Achieve financial targets including NOI and Gross Margin
- Manage inventory, health and safety compliance, employee and labor relations
- Recruit, develop, and lead collaborative and successful teams
- Perform consistent performance management and evaluations
- Ensure compliant processes related to canteen functions including planograms, retail point-of-sale systems, inventory control, stock scheduling, food safety, sanitation, and promotions
- Confirm canteen operation to NSF standards with up-to-date training and compliance
- Oversee budget and cost control with improved financial margins
- Identify operational improvements, streamline processes, implement best practices for high-quality Veteran services
- Build and maintain relationships with Medical Center leadership and local and national departments
- Communicate effectively with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Maintain strong internal and external communication channels
