Job Requirements
- Serve a 1-year trial period with performance evaluation

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct food or retail management experience
- Prior experience with inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls, and profit and loss management
- Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, and staff development
- Ability to assess business needs and effectively solve problems
- Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Experience with point-of-sale systems
- ServSafe certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire date
- Associate degree in Business, Hospitality, or Management preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals
- Achieve financial targets including net operating income and gross margin
- Manage inventory, health and safety compliance, and employee and labor relations
- Recruit, develop, and lead collaborative and successful teams
- Conduct timely and consistent performance evaluations
- Ensure compliant processes related to canteen functions including planograms, retail point-of-sale systems, inventory control, stock scheduling, food safety, sanitation, and promotional initiatives
- Confirm canteen operates to NSF standards and complies with training management system requirements
- Oversee budgeting and cost control with a focus on improving financial margins
- Identify operational improvements to enhance customer experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Medical Center leadership and other departments
- Utilize technology proficiently for communication and operational management
