Job Requirements
- maintain a valid Concealed Pistol License
- hold a valid driver’s license
- have certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED
- carry a personally owned suitable large or medium frame semi-automatic pistol in 9mm or .40 caliber
- meet qualifications set by State of Michigan laws and Baker College policies
- have two years of work experience in law enforcement, military, or security
- demonstrate ability to enforce campus safety regulations
- be able to patrol assigned areas effectively
- comply with all firearm and safety equipment requirements as determined by the Director of Campus Safety

- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Job Duties
- patrol assigned campus areas on foot or in vehicles
- monitor buildings, grounds, and parking areas
- respond to emergencies and enforce campus rules
- provide escorts and assistance such as lockouts or jump-starts
- report safety hazards and investigate incidents
- secure facilities after hours
- collaborate with law enforcement when necessary
- serve as a Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act
