Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A S culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of kitchen management experience
  • Knowledge of food safety sanitation and food cost control
  • Ability to lead a kitchen team effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • A S culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality production sanitation food cost controls and presentation
  • Experienced with computers including Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook email and internet
  • Extensive catering experience is a plus
  • Experience in high volume complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Bring fresh inventive ideas to menu development that reflect current culinary trends and cater to diverse tastes
  • Lead and inspire kitchen staff in food preparation presentation and service
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques safety sanitation and efficient equipment operation
  • Champion sustainable practices and utilize seasonal ingredients in menu creation
  • Engage with campus community to gather feedback understand preferences and tailor dining experiences
  • Maintain high standards of quality consistency and presentation in all culinary offerings
  • Implement cost management strategies to control food costs while maximizing value and quality
  • Collaborate with campus departments and stakeholders to innovate and enhance dining experience
