The JCC Ranch Camp, located in Elbert, Colorado, is a premier overnight summer camp operated by the Denver Jewish Community Center (JCC). Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in progress or equivalent experience
  • prior experience in a programmatic role
  • pass background screening and provide three references
  • comply with CDHS law
  • ability to work in a hectic and sometimes stressful environment
  • physically able to walk up to two miles daily on uneven terrain and perform physical activities including lifting

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in progress or equivalent experience
  • prior experience in a programmatic role in a similar setting
  • ability to attend staff orientations and reside at camp during summer
  • high-energy, enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded
  • valid driver's license preferred
  • current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred

Job Duties

  • take care of staff and campers by prioritizing the physical, social, emotional health, safety, and well-being
  • work as a team with the supervisory team to ensure every day runs as planned by helping lead meals, participating in camp programming, supporting cabin life, and providing coverage for cabin staff
  • create a community where everyone is included
  • engage fully in camp life including horseback riding, swimming, camping, playing games, singing, and roasting s'mores
  • act as resources and support staff managing camp behaviors with positive techniques and enforcing safety policies and camp rules
  • be flexible and adaptable to changing camp conditions
  • oversee and coordinate all-camp programs including scheduled activities, elective activities, and special event days
  • assist in supply ordering, purchasing, and delivery
  • plan and lead staff training and daily program schedules
  • lead in the creation of camp spirit and daily rituals
  • fill in program roles as needed
