Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years old
  • valid driver’s license required
  • embrace mission and vision of Catholic Diocese of Green Bay
  • support camp’s Catholic values
  • background in kitchen operations
  • prior commercial kitchen experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • able to lift and move 25 to 50 pounds
  • capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • organized and detail oriented
  • patient and logical
  • able to follow written and oral instructions
  • excellent time management skills
  • positive and adaptable attitude
  • attend faith-based retreats and group discussions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma
  • degree in food management or state certification in food service
  • at least one year of commercial kitchen experience
  • Food Handler license or willingness to obtain ServSafe certification
  • knowledgeable in nutritional meal planning and budget management
  • proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office programs
  • strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • assist in daily kitchen operations
  • comply with sanitation and health standards
  • manage and minimize food and supply waste
  • oversee kitchen in the absence of the Head Cook
  • plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals
  • maintain and operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • supervise and guide kitchen staff
  • ensure kitchen cleanliness and safety
  • participate in retreats and faith-based seminars
