Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years old
- valid driver’s license required
- embrace mission and vision of Catholic Diocese of Green Bay
- support camp’s Catholic values
- background in kitchen operations
- prior commercial kitchen experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- able to lift and move 25 to 50 pounds
- capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- organized and detail oriented
- patient and logical
- able to follow written and oral instructions
- excellent time management skills
- positive and adaptable attitude
- attend faith-based retreats and group discussions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma
- degree in food management or state certification in food service
- at least one year of commercial kitchen experience
- Food Handler license or willingness to obtain ServSafe certification
- knowledgeable in nutritional meal planning and budget management
- proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office programs
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- assist in daily kitchen operations
- comply with sanitation and health standards
- manage and minimize food and supply waste
- oversee kitchen in the absence of the Head Cook
- plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals
- maintain and operate commercial kitchen equipment
- supervise and guide kitchen staff
- ensure kitchen cleanliness and safety
- participate in retreats and faith-based seminars
