YMCA Camp Carter, part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, is a well-established outdoor camp and recreational facility located on a sprawling 360-acre property in Fort Worth, Texas. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous cooking or food service experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Assist the Kitchen & Hospitality Manager in planning, preparing, and serving meals for groups of various sizes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining hall environment
  • Support in ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Supervise and assist kitchen volunteers or support staff as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring positive dining experiences
  • Work as part of the Food Service team to support the overall mission of YMCA Camp Carter
