Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Food Handlers Permit or ability to pass county food safety training within two weeks
- Physical capability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 15-50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in rustic environment
- Experience or comfort interacting with individuals with special needs
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of food preparation preferred
- 1-2 years experience in food service, cafeteria, or kitchen support preferred
- Valid Food Handlers Permit required or ability to obtain within two weeks
- Physical capability to stand for prolonged periods and perform lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable working with individuals with special needs
- Comfortable working in rustic, outdoor environment for season duration
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving
- Strong computer skills for record-keeping
- Excellent communication skills for training and supervising staff
- Independence in decision-making and business judgment
Job Duties
- Wash dishes, clean and store equipment, wash and prepare utensils
- Perform custodial duties such as mopping floors, washing walls, cleaning refrigerators
- Assist in routine food preparation like chopping and cleaning vegetables, dishing food into containers, preparing fruit
- Receive, unpack and store food and supplies from vendors
- Clean and maintain refrigerators, freezers, and food storage areas
- Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and fixtures
- Transport food from storage areas into the kitchen
- Keep track of invoices and shipping documents and submit to supervisor
- Uphold mandated reporting responsibilities for participant safety
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the program and organization mission
