Job Description

Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years or older
Experience with kids 2-15 years old
Ability to swim
Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Job Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years or older
Experience with kids 2-15 years old
Ability to swim
CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred
Previous camp or child care experience preferred
Experience with sports preferred
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the requisite knowledge and abilities may be considered

Job Duties

Be responsible for the safety and well-being of participants
Assist in the supervision of all camp field trips
Work cooperatively with Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, camp counselors, maintenance staff, and parents
Maintain discipline with children during all activities under handbook guidelines
Follow all City of League City policies and procedures
Keep the Camp Director appraised of situations requiring attention
Attend trainings, seminars and meetings as required
Perform other job-related duties as requested and necessary
Work hands on with kids between the ages of 2-12 years old in a variety of activities
Mentor campers ages 13-15 years old in the counselor-in-training program by providing guidance and support
Provide regular feedback to program coordinator to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of programs
Work with Camp Director during the school year to support youth programs including Homeschool PE, Adaptive Programming, Kids Night, Day Camps, School Break Camps, Outdoor Recreation, and other new programming
Provide services during emergency situations that threaten safety of citizens
