Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- three years decorating experience or equivalent required
- completion of a certificate program in pastry arts preferred
- health department training required
- ability to calculate percentages and ratios
- capable of lifting up to 70 pounds
- effective communication skills
- ability to read and understand English
- knowledge of cake decoration techniques and baking principles
- willingness to taste products
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to prioritize tasks
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide optimum customer satisfaction
- maintain a neat and well-groomed personal appearance and comply with dress regulations
- report life, safety, and fire hazards to bakery manager
- establish and maintain positive vendor relationships
- communicate effectively within department and organization
- assist in receiving and unloading merchandise and verify accuracy against invoices
- operate bakery equipment including ovens and mixers
- assist in ordering and inventory control of ingredients and supplies
- control excessive use of utilities and conserve resources
- label and date all products
- maintain cleanliness, organization, stock rotation in walk-in storage
- comply with health and safety codes
- decorate cakes and pastries using icing bags and spatulas
- follow design schematics and sales plans
- ensure all items have expiration dates
- participate in company safety and compliance initiatives
- use required personal protective equipment
