Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • Prepare product for sale including icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling
  • Maintain product level, quality and freshness
  • Perform bakery clerk functions when requested
  • Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area
  • Properly clean work area, couplers and decorating bags
  • Maintain organization of freezer including proper rotation of product according to variety
  • Communicate guest requests to management
  • Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor
  • Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times
  • Properly rotate icings including reading dates and scraping down buckets
  • Use cake manual as reference material
  • Write on cakes
  • Properly mix colors according to color chart
  • Master the use of airbrush
  • Use cake production sheet
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for cake section
  • Perform all other duties assigned by management
  • Perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard is maintained
  • Announce specials and sale info on the PA system
  • Assist in product receiving and storage
